RESEARCH INTERESTS

Ecology, nature conservation, bird monitoring,
annual cycles of birds, moult and migration of birds.

I am most interested in studying the photoperiodic control of annual cycle, interspecific and intraspecific variation of moult. Main objects are different species of passerine birds.

EDUCATION

(1977): PhD in Biology, St.Petersburg State University
Thesis title: "Comparative investigation of annual cycles in some species of Emberiza
(1972): MS in Zoology, St.Petersburg State University.

EMPLOYMENT

2003 - present date: Senior research officer at Biological research Institute of St. Petersburg State University;
since1977 : scientific worker at Biological research Institute of St. Petersburg State University.
